I couldn't pass up this shot along the back roads of East Tennessee, near Kingston, I believe. EVERYTHING about this image wreaks country or rural American... not just the location but other things like the age appearance of the fence posts, the barn, and the look of mid-summer, all in all!
Bob took up oil painting as a high school student. But, sometime later, while still in high school, he switched from oils to acrylics, why you may ask. Because Bob's 'art studio' was Bob's bedroom. The smells of the oil paints and linseed oil permeating the house annoyed the rest of the family. But, to this day, if painting, Bob still paints in acrylics. Also, Bob works in pastels on occasion. Bob took up pastel painting, besides acrylic painting, while in high school. Later in life, around 2007, Bob discovered he had a trigger finger for the camera.
